Rocky if you read this I think what many instructors fail to do is to give us a realistic and/or exact time frame. Think about it, we go to school or college and in 4 years we can expect an end result. What discourages many of us is there isn’t a clear end result with this. You mentioned you started in middle school. Did you become fluent in 5 years or? If we do these podcast practices for 30 minutes everyday for 2 years will we be fluent?Without an end result /“light at the end of the tunnel” motivation to perform will always fluctuate.
