BBP Real Life Budget - Single Mom + Financial Goals + Budget Tips

It's time for another Real Life Budget. We asked my readers to submit their REAL information. Real spending, real debt, and real savings goals.

I am taking those real life numbers and showing you how I would organize and budget that information using my Budget By Paycheck® Method.

In this video, I have a reader who is a single mom, owns her own business as her primary source of income, and then receives Social Security income from her ex-husband. She will lose Social Security income when her children turn 18, and time is running out.

I not only organize her finances using the Budget By Paycheck method, but give her my suggestions on the goals she needs to accomplish before the income runs out.

Been a single mom for my girls lives... the most I've brought home, including child support and my wages, was around 2500 a month.
While I love these videos it can seem daunting for those of us in the lower middle class (i make around 35k a year). Too much for help but living paycheck to paycheck (hence why I'm on this journey).

When my husband passed away 2 years ago, I was drowning. we weren't married long enough for me to collect social security benefits and we didnt have kids. He had a six figure income, i was dependent on him but I had a degree and started working 6 months before he passed. My life changed over night and I needed to increase my income, and even when I did it was still half of what he made so I had to downgrade my home and lifestyle. Learning to budget was hard for me! But thank God I have managed and watch these videos to improve.

This one hit home for me, 5 years ago I was faced with the same decrease in income, losing my family payment once my son turned 18.
It took a hard turn towards bankruptcy the following year..I was unprepared and treading water with no land in sight..it seemed.
I wish I had known about you 5 years...or even earlier.
