Exclusive First Look - TRAXXAS X-MAXX 8S - Unboxing, In-Depth Look & Comparison

This Traxxas X-MAXX 8S was supplied from our local supplier, Southern Model Supplies who are based in Australia.

I had to make some changes so this is a re-upload. In the video I unbox this badboy and give a comparison between the old and new xmaxx.

Main differences are:
Brand New 30+ volt 8S lipo capable ESC
New lower 1275KV motor
Beefier drive train
Slightly different body color scheme and new rear plastic reinforcement

Is this version the same as the "new color" x max's that I see on the Traxxas website? Any mechanical difference or just new colors?

i ordered my xmaxx but im so confused in what batteries to get. i am struggling to find a powerful yet long lasting battery WHILE having connectors which work with both the xmaxx and the charger. i cant do that soldering shit and if im paying i want to have it ready. and i dont wanna get traxxas batteries cause way to expensive.

The plug difference is for the actual 4s I'd batteries. They have an additional balancer wire that will prevent them being used in the 6s esc. However you can still used the 3s batteries In The 8s xmaxx. I have a few pairs of 4s batteries but at 139 each for the 4s batteries it hurts my soul when I buy them
