So sad! Mind you the CEO’s of this company is probably holding virtual zoom meetings in the comfort of their homes.

I will not buy ANY Frito Lay product until they fix this pay problem for the employees. They will need to hope that I don't find substitutes that I like better - which is likely considering the quality of their products in the last year.

There are many choices when it comes to chips. Don't buy the Frito-Lay brand if they refuse to see the pain of stakeholders. If Frito-Lay employees and their families alone don't buy chips, there will be a pretty good dent in their earning.

Sounds so familiar… I work for a warehouse business too. Not as bad at my warehouse… but we don’t have a union either

Why? Why are they striking? Why have these things been going on for a years with no changes? Where is the Union? Why are these workers paying a union that does nothing for them?

Sad state of affairs in America for labor. Globalization equates to products with high margins outsourcing production to the lowest bidder worldwide. Domestic production of low margin/ high volume (12hr. shifts) products will remain. The oversupplied labor market favors the producers in this argument as their choice is to make decent money by working 12s three weeks straight or working 8 at much lower overall yearly income. For those of you that are young and working these long hours my advice is to realize no one who could change the rules is going to (IRS) so your playbook is their tax code as it applies to the different types of income they recognize and how it is taxed. There is a reason the CEO of Frito Lay, and top management in general have their pay listed as compensation packages, they are aware of the tax laws and take full advantage. When a large part of your compensation is attached to your company’s stock price it doesn’t bode well for labors future wages.
If you are currently making good money as an employee understand you are a slave to that employer.
Don’t follow the spending habits of the other 99% (Google median net worth).
You need to save while deciding how best to start generating capital favored by the IRS.
Understand the power of compounding, the younger you start the higher the reward.
