I have told previous girlfriend's if a girl tried to ask for my number. Because I live in a small town and it is entirely plausible that she would've found out. Then she would question why I didn't tell her. Then it would only take for the other girl to say "Oh, he was hitting on ME! But I said no, because he had a girlfriend" and that is what she would find more believable. One thing I've found out after years of dating is that it doesn't matter how honest you are. An insecure girl will ALWAYS be suspicious. Especially if she has friends who are equally distrustful of men. Personally, I'd rather be totally honest with her. If she wants me to unlock my phone and take a look, she's welcome to do so. But I wouldn't be with her much longer as I would not let her forget how she had to invade my privacy only to find she was wrong
