Thank you. The deviation occurs more if it is not March 21 or September 23. For other times of the year, we have to make up for some slight to major changes. For me trying the method on August for instance definitely showed more deviation in addition to the calculation of the magnetic declination.

Magnetic declination in Atlanta is -4.46°. New Orleans is about 0. As a way to remember I put the first pebble as a spot for my left foot if i want to face north.
