Researchers investigate link between COVID-19 and diabetes

As new variants of concern emerge, there is growing evidence supporting another troubling COVID-19 trend. Two studies involving the National Institute of Health in the U.S. suggest the virus can limit how much insulin is created by the human body, potentially leading to diabetes.

As Jamie Mauracher reports, there are several theories as to why the virus may trigger the chronic health condition.

It shouldn't come as a shock that the main victims of CoVid, obese and elderly, later develop type II diabetes. It really frustrates me that governments are not promoting the very thing to help the most with CoVid - healthy living. Diet, exercise, vitamins, sleep, outdoors, etc. Instead, the message is 'stay in your house, watch Netflix and order pizza'.
