Racism under Atatürk | Part 2

Mustafa Kemal, "Atatürk" - the founding father of the Republic of Turkey, is often praised for "saving" Turkey, although he exploited different minorities in the wars against the allied forces. As Ismet Inönu (2nd Leader of Turkey) says: The Treaty of Lausanne in 1923 was achieved by the concept of "We Turks and Kurds." [0]

This understanding enabled the Turkish leadership to have their national claims accepted by the West. However, after the establishment and recognition of the Republic of Turkey, the secular government of "Atatürk" initiated fascist and assimilation policies towards the non-Turkish Muslim minorities, and they strove towards developing the denial of Kurdish existence as one of the new state's basic tenets.

The Ottoman Empire, which had for centuries been a safe haven for Jews and Christians, had suddenly, with the newly established secular Republic, turned into a hostile homeland even for Muslims. The Kurds had been the most prominent Muslim minority and an integral part of the Ottoman Empire. Despite this, the Kurds were not spared from the Kemalists' oppression and genocides.

This video will introduce the mindset of how Atatürk and his regime's racist ideology would affect the Kurds and other minorities. Racism under Atatürk!

Disclaimer
1. Although Mustafa Kemal is widely accepted among Turks for having Atatürk (Father of the Turks) as his title, we are aware that not all Turks recognize him like that or agree. For the sake of the video flow, we chose to use his "nickname" instead of writing / saying his full one on every occasion. We apologize if this has offended our Turkish viewers.

These comments highlight the kind of fascist ideology that would come to be forced on innocent people. Atatürk's regime set the foundation of a racist and totalitarian state that would oppress and kill thousands of civilians. Turkish Muslims suffered heavily and were oppressed during Atatürk's rule as well, but non-Turkish Muslims were targeted from two fronts, an ethnic and a religious one. More in-depth about these events will be covered in upcoming parts in shaa Allah. Feel free to suggest future topics for the upcoming videos.

As a Turk this video is eye opening to me cause I was never taught any of this in school. We were brain washed into worshipping and ideolising him, thank you so much for spreading the truth.

As a Kurd im unbelievably happy that light is being shed to this matter. It is urgent and the Ummah needs to WAKE UP and see the truth for what it is. Their hatred for Kurds still exists today. JazakAllahu khair ten thousand times.

In Turkey, a person can criticize our noble prophet but cannot criticize Kemal. Who is this devil compared to our dear prophet?. Their followers knew that he will be criticized for his evil actions, so they made a law to protect him. InshaAllah in the future, something will change in this country.

I never understood before why kurdish were always labelled by iran and turkey as "minorities" when i knew that the mujahid salahiddin ayubi was a muslim kurd. Now i know that the problem is the thursting of kuffur of nationalism down their throats and kurdish nationalism is a reaction to that, when in reality we r brothers in Islam.

Based Atatürk, Turkey was reborn from the ashes thanks to him and his mighty army.
All ethnicites that are living in Türkiye are thankful to Atatürk.
Being Turkish doesn't have anything to do with religion, language, or ethnicity.
Ne mutlu Türküm diyene!

Today there are 10-15 million Albanian people who live in Turkey and they don't know a single Albanian word because of Kamal's racist, fascist policies which still go on.

I feel very sorry towards the Non-Turkish that faced hard times after the unity of our ummah collapsed. Our Turkish brothers and sisters were brainwashed and indoctrinated. That's why his influence is still powerful. He even changed the Ottoman Language and any non-turkish language. Keep doing the good work so we can educate our Ummah especially our Turkish brothers and sisters.

When are you gonna do a video about Baathism or Arab nationalism. I see that islamic channels only make video's about non-arab nationalism but not about arab nationalism.
