This doesn't allow the teenager to party alone. It temporarily transfers the parental responsibility to a very specific person, which becomes a temporary legal guardian.

As opposed to what? Most countries arent Iran. There are no curfews and teenage discos are normal.

There is no curfew in Germany for anyone. 😂
You can stay out as long as you want. You just can't stay in bars and clubs after midnight if underage.

There ist No curfew in Germany. So a 16 year old can stay outside as long as they Like.
But there are some rules around Restaurants or Clubs. If you are 16 you can stay in a clut until 12pm for example.

This is just an Urban Myth. There is no Curfew after a certain time of the day; since this would be a massive violation of our constitutional rights (the government did it anyway in the pandemic but whatever). There is only a restriction that minors are not allowed at certain events like parties or “Places dangerous for young people” as the law sums it up, meaning gambling, bars, etc. But there is no law preventing minors from staying outside the house all night.

The way that most comments misunderstood the "curfew" entirely and aren't aware of the laws in their own country 💀
It's not a "you should be at home" curfew. It's a "you should not be in establishments that serve alcohol past midnight, at least not unsupervised" law.
If there is an adult present, all you need is a parental consent slip that makes that adult your legal guardian and you can party and drink all night long (remember drinking is legal for 16 year olds in germany).
You can be outside whenever as a teenager, no one cares if you're taking a walk at 3am or sum. It's just supposed to keep minors from drinking until the sun comes up.

There is no curfew for minors in germany. The young protection act (Jugendsschutzgesetz) does not contain any provisions regarding how long children and young people are allowed to stay outside.

After being a bit puzzled and reading the comments I have come to the conclusion that this was very poorly explained

Most US states don't actually enforce curfew unless you find a particular cop on a power trip
