Production of M1A1 tanks for the US Army is complete. Over 8,800 M1 and M1A1 tanks have been produced for the US Army and Marine Corps, and the armies of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Production of new M1A1 and M1A2 Abrams tanks is in its final phase for Foreign Military Sales.

What makes M1 Abrams so used is the fact they’re built in sections instead of being a singular build so as to be able to easily rebuild any that suffer damage.

I like the design of both tanks, they look quite deadly, even though they have an old age. Each tank is unique in some way, which I like. The T-90 has a low profile turret, which can be hard to hit, and it has a good gun. The M1 has a powerful gun, and great armor. But either tank has weaknesses that can destroy the tank.

The task of the tank is to be effective in combat. I am really amused by the comments of little understanding people. The assembly of Russian tanks has already shown the end result, and not the production process itself

Thank you for showing the manufacturing process of American Abram (recent), German Panzer III (WWII), American Sherman & M3 (WWII) tanks. It was very interesting. As far as I know there are only a handful of countries who can built their own tanks. The US, England, France, Germany, and Russia (former Soviet Union). China is a pre-industrialized society, so they cannot make their own tanks. It is possible that the Communist Chinese purchased old Soviet tank factory and are reproducing old Soviet/Vietnam era tanks. But these tanks are out of date. The Russians would not sell their most effective tanks to Communist China nor sell their most advanced weapons factory to China. Israel is a small country and its economy would collapse if it had to develop its own military industry. In addition, the Israelis get the most modern and deadliest in the world weapons from their NATO allies and in particular the US. So the Israelis have no reason to build their own tanks or tank guns if they can get the deadliest weapons in the world from their American Allies.

The black and white videos don't really tie into the color section and no explanation is offered. Tank enthusiasts recognize the US hardware of course. There is nothing offered re: Ukraine and Russian production and the whole thing is really a file footage recycle. From most of the comments I guess it impresses twelve-year-olds.

American tank factories seem more advanced, yet their tanks are not as advanced as the Russian's. Nothing similar to Armata system, and no solutions to the sand problems with Abrams tanks' jet motors
