How do you reset your blender UI after you have messed it up? In this quick tutorial I will show you a very quick and easy way to reset your workspace in blender back to the default layout after you have accidentally changed your user interface.

Reset workspace in blender:
Step 1: Save your blender project
Step 2: File --> New --> General
Step 3: File --> Open (find your messed up blender project)
Step 4: Go to the cog (settings) in the top right
Step 5: Uncheck 'Load UI'
Step 6: Load your blender project
It will then have default UI

Short and sweet and it worked. Plenty other videos just say to load factory defaults but that starts a new file with the clean interface. When you reload your old file - the messed up UI comes back.

This is why blender is a blessing and a curse . so many little things that don't have to be . Reset view button there solved . It's like this with a lot of things you spend more time problem solving than creating. But I love it thank you

OMG thank you so much!! Somehow I had got rid of my objects, tools, and modifier panels and spent 20mins trying to get them back. This solved it.

Thanks for the tutorial, I found a little bit easier way to do it also. You can add a new workspace of any of the standard ones and then delete the one you you messed up. :)
