As a Christian, and even more so as a person, I relate to this song so much because there are times where I feel like I can't forgive myself for things I'm not proud of doing. So I end up in this place of being afraid and unable to share with others about how I feel like a failure or a pile of trash waiting to be thrown out. It's never easy in life unfortunately and being able to think positively in every negative situation gets old real fast. Listening to this song (which is written from Jesus' perspective) really made me cry because in the times where everything is crashing on me, my FIRST thought is to either run from my problems or use them as an excuse to run into another one (even subconsciously). Then I'll think "there's others in a worse situation" and I'll start telling myself that I'm filthy/disgusting for not even thinking about others in the first place and it jumbles into this huge mess of crap (why did I do this, what is wrong with me, I'm so dumb/stupid/etc, and so on). It's a real fight.
I enjoy songs like this because it's okay to listen and be able to know that someone's speaking to you about it/giving you comfort. Hollyn, you did an amazing job on this song. THANK YOU for being inspired to write this. I can definitely say you saved someone who was at their lowest.

Break down those walls if you want real friendship to happen. Real
friends may be scarce but they do exist. There are people who won't
judge you down but would love you whole. The more they know about your
downfall, the more they'd be committed to love on you, pray for you and
pour out their hearts on you to help you get through.. They'd do that
with you as they'd want it done unto them - just as Jesus did that for
them too!

There was a time I received a cash for the prize of my school's competition which I have to divide it among my friends. But I just realized that I forgot to bring my envelope after I arrived home, I didn't even remember where I placed it. So I told my mum about it and I went back to school about an hour later. The last time I remembered was sealing my envelope, but when I entered my class it was laid perfectly still on the table with my fan being placed on top neatly as if it was on purpose. The class should have been locked and cleaned by that time, but the door hadn't locked and the fan was yellow bright so it was really strange since anyone could have taken the envelope. By the time I went into the car, I told my mum that I found the envelope, she smiled and said : You know what? God said to me that your envelope was safely covered, but I didn't know until you said that it was covered by a fan. It may seem a small thing but to me I think God is amazing that He really pays attention to small details.
