Does the frame have enough room to accomodate the heavier pet screen?

Any tips on getting the caps on? I am fighting with getting them to snap in. I've tried loosening the screws that hold the base and I've tried tightening the screws. Nothing seems to work.

Looks like the spline you are using from Amazon is .125. The manufacturer says .175. I am having a hard time with heavy spline and using tool. It wants to keep tearing screen. I also see the lady doing this is shacking a bit.

Wait...so I can use just a sharp pair of scissors to cut patio screen? It would just be a lot easier for me. I'm adding patio screen to a catio I bought for my apartment. We get a lot of wasps and the catio screen alone is wide enough for them to get right in

Where can you buy those black metal moldings that are screwed into the wood that the screen is attached too. The frames

They make a screen specifically for dogs to avoid damage like this. It’s a bit more expensive but it’s worth it. It lasts longer and doesn’t dry rot and sun fade as fast as regular screen.
