I'm from Vitoria and I don't know that place with european homes and trees. where is it?

Thinking of moving there from the States. Looking for a place not quite as hectic as Rio or São Paulo. Does anyone who lives there or has traveled there have any thoughts?

Vitoria is beautiful, specially the Iland. Because some places are really depreciated. I like the sea, beaches, the shores, the vegetation. But some people from smaller cities think of Vitoria as a Manhattan..what?
