Many parents are worried about their baby having squint or cross eye. Also called strabismus in medical terms, it is often seen in young infants till the first 3-4 months of age, and resolves by this age in most. In some babies, there is a fold in the inner margin of the eyes, called the epicanthic fold. This can lead to an apparent or pseudo squint. However, if cross eyed appearance persists beyond 6-8 months, it is better to review with ophthalmologist to ensure no intervention is needed. Please share.

Hi doctor, have lately watching your videos, my baby boy was born at 29 weeks, he is premature baby, checked for rop before discharge and 3 months after discharge, no issues, his born age is 6 months 20 days and corrected age is 4 month 17 days, he is making limited eye contact, so when to eye checknup and was informed he is long sightdness this was when is was 2 months corrected age, have to grab his attention to follow objects, he turns to his right and wanders up and does not respond to when called but hearing is ok, what would be the issue doc

my baby is 2.5 months old., sometimes (2-3 times a day for few seconds) i notice her eyeballs towards nose especially when picking her up,

My daughter is just 7 months old.
