This has been my favorite movie since I was a kid and this song sounded really melancholic to me back then... but this version is just wonderful, I'm Mexican and the lyrics of this song are different.
I know the story of The Romanov Family and that's why this version hit me even harder, I'm crying because of the last part.
Wish I could listen to this earlier.

Thank you from Germany! This song reminds me always of the good times that I had with my ex-wife. It is so sad, that I'll never be able to listen to her singing russian songs anymore. The Cyrillic Script finally makes sense to me. Russian is a good language, as is Bulgarian. Serbian varies somewhat.
