Growing up in the southeastern US, we have oyster roasts. Cooking bushels at a time over wood fire, draped in thick burlap soaked in the seawater we picked them from. The steam generated seasons the oysters well. Not uncommon to sit and eat oysters for hours - as many as you can possibly have. Much more cost effective than 3$ per single anywhere else in North America 😅 Thanks for the content fellas. I’ll drop in next time I’m Toronto.
