This phone also has DC Dimming for people who have eyes atrin and headaches from the new screens. I've been using the DC dimming feature and spend hours a day in my phone with no strain or head achs. I rarely ever go on my computer now. P30 pro in my opinion is overall the best phone on the market right now. I tired about 6 before I made that decision.

Thanks a lot for this longterm review. I was going to get a note 9 now that my contract is renewing, but my carrier decided to put this 5$ lower/month than the note 9.
in 24 months, that's a 120$ difference for an overall better phone. I think that the software issues are not actually relevant, as the p30s have already been updated far beyond what a note9 will have for example.

I do use WQHD+ on my S10+. But 1080p is fine if that's the display your phone came with. Yes I do notice the difference - the off axis viewing shows color shifting when you use 1080p on the S10+. Plus, I really like that the display fits more information on the screen.

A solid and entertaining review. All the negatives other reviews have pointed out are not really as bad or even bad as they say.
I will say that the P30 Pro will not lose any Google updates, it just for phones released beyond then. I am still getting them as we speak, 2 months after this review. I do wish I waited and got the Mate 20 Pro though as I feel it's a beer phone and less expensive

Hey, Big fan of your videos. I was wondering, what phone you'd recommend in 2020. Im on Vodafone and looking to upgrade but the s10 seems to be a bit out of my price point. I've looked at the a51 and the S10 Lite which come fairly well recommend. I also looked at the P30 pro as the camera is probably the most important thing for me. Im currently using the Pixel 2 which i've loved. I am really drawn to the P30 pro but pretty sceptical about the shady allegations surrounding Huawei, and my data, along with the lack of clairty on it receiving android 11 and google updates... I'd really appreciate your views and recommendations on a good phone in the UK in 2020 with a quality camera. Thanks a lot :)
