That's what I like about your channel, you preach about mindset. You make people believe they can go far with hard work, motivation and consistency

The bench progress is more impressive to me. I've been benching 405+ for 5 years and still can't always hit 455

Let's not forget he started using a squat plug

No mention of what gear he may/may not be using either.

He sleeps consistently, ah so that’s why I’m a weakling beta

Mr Vena, squats beat up my body up but deadlift are easy to recover from? What can I do?

That's awesome. I can't wait to start hitting numbers like this. It'll take awhile but it'll be worth it.

this is impressive... I think at some point I might need a personal trainer to go beyond my current level. I'm still making progress from free online programs with a few minor tweak tailored for myself but I think having a personal trainer that can tailor a program for me and watch my forms would increase my strength.

Wait the biggest question for me atleast… what are his assistance choices?

How many years has he been training in the start?

Are the pause / ssb squats included in the 15 sets/week you mentioned or is that additional accessory work on top of that number?

He’s a beast. I’m sure his deadlift with a peak is much higher than his gym PR

Wow. Is he sort of an exception? Since you started with him already at a high level, I wonder how long it took him to first get to 485. Prob a long time...I hope hehe. Strong guy for sure.

Idk if my genetics or my lanky anatomy just sucks, but I WISH I had a 480 squat. Been training for about 5 years, with serious programming for about 1.5 years, and my squat just gets stuck around 365.

During that 1.5 years, my deadlift has gone from about 375 to 525, but squat just stays the same.

I do full ROM, ATG squats. Have tried different programs squatting 1x, 2x, and 3x/week, I sleep 8+ hours per night, eat about 2800 calories per day, and try to do progressive overload, but nothing works.

do you program a lot of accessory work for squats?
