Hello Shiny Crafty People and welcome back to the channel!

Today I'm showing off my recent haul from the Dollar Tree! This great U.S.-based store sells everything for $1 or less, which means there are so many interesting and unusual items available in unique sizes. I've found that many of the items can be repurposed to help with sewing or crafting!

Here's a list of the items I cover in this video and the links to the items on the Dollar Tree website, if available:

I hope you enjoy these fun sewing and crafting hacks, and until next time, STAY CRAFTY!

Bye for now.

Your kitchen towel tutorial just came up today in my feed! So I'm 2 programs into your devine tutorials! You are so clever, I'm hooked! I stopped the first show and subscribed half way through it! SO GLAD I FOUND YOUR WONDERFUL CHANNEL❣️
I'm going to use the over the chair holder backwards, to hold that pocket full of pillow stuffing with the top sewn closed-on my smaller chairs for a lumbar support! Won't have to carry my lumbar pillow around all day for each seat. Your cleverness has already sparked my imagination!
Thanks for sharing your great ideas, and the DT products-which has just improved my daily life, ❣️❣️
Looking forward to catching up w all your previous programs this week! Love your detailed, casual and concise style. And use of things easily available or on hand in my sewing corner.
Thanks for sharing! G3 from Arizona

Tim, I am, this very moment, traveling from Union City, TN to my birthplace, Jackson, Michigan. I cajoled my son to stop at...Dollar Tree!! I bought 2 skeins of jute and some mini square, wooden blocks, along with candy and drinks; I also bought a 28mm rotary cutter and 6x8 inch self-healing mat. Great, great, great finds. I wasted no time in trying both (I used them on a piece of quilt square I conveniently had in the car), and to my surprise both worked very efficiently. I dare say the blade on the cutter was as sharp as my brand new costly rotary, and the mat showed nary a scratch. This brief stop was definitely worth it. By the way, I think I love you, so what are we so afraid of...sorry, just had to break into song. Seriously, I love watching your tutorials (you're actually one of two things I watch on my phone religiously. The other is "Elementary" on Hulu. I think I've watched it about 10 times back to back in the past 6 months. I'm not compulsive at all. P.s. I'm 55 and have been sewing since age 9. You do the math. God bless you and your work

Brilliant idea the vacuum sealing bag for fabric! I have lots of fabric hanging about and an extra bag that I can use. Thanks, Tim.

Great ideas! I have such a tiny sewing space, so i used a flannel backed tablecloth cut to fit a doorway. I put it up with a tension rod and roll it up to store it. Thanks!

I just love your ideas dear Timothy. Unfortunately, here in Australia, those stores don’t sell things for a dollar no longer. You’re so lucky! Thank you so much for all your good ideas.

Thank you for pointing out readily available and inexpensive items that can be used for other sewing purposes.
Many serious sewers always assume a deep wallet while low income people such as I want options to make practical or pretty items.

I often view low cost items as materials for projects and not necessarily what is their manufactured purpose.
BTW Fabric stores are far away and outside my budget. I have to look at other options.

I think I am going to buy a few for the different pins that I use with the label on the bottom since the box is so cute 😍 thank you for such great dollar store ideas❣

Love your channel, might I add one more thing from the Dollar Tree...I but the frosted plastic cutting mats 2/pack. They're perfect for making templates or small patterns!
