Been a lifelong terry Gilliam fan, just finally watched Brazil for the first time last night. All I can say is I have never been so floored, euphoric, and crushed all in one cinematic experience. This film has managed to capture a dream which I feel we all share, and the ending/ face of reality we all share is something that I hope is never lost. They can take our lives, but they can never capture the dream <3

Absolutely, one of THE BEST "little known" movies of all time. So good on so many levels & GREAT cast. Actually, anything by Terry Gilliam is brilliant.

Working in the Ministry of Economy of Argentina i felt totally identified with Jonathan Pryce character.
In your mind you are safe Sam! Keep dreaming!

Ideal music to celebrate the 30 Years of Brazil, to me still the best movie ever made.

When hearts were entertained in June
We stood beneath an amber moon
And softly whispered 'some day soon'

We kissed and clung together
Then
Tomorrow was another day
The morning found me miles away
With still a million things to say

Now
When twilight beams the skies above
Recalling thrills of our love
There's one thing I'm certain of

Return I will
To old Brazil

Le chef-d'oeuvre absolu.
J'ai des frissons rien qu'en revoyant ces quelques images... et aux sons du regretté Michael Kamen.

This is a brilliant film. I appreciate it more and m ore as time goes on. Reality has come to resemble this world. Shall we all lose our senses?

I'm and expat living in Brasil, still surfing and young in a young country (I'm 67); I play this song in my head a lot, and there's still plenty of radicals here who haven't given up and aren't beaten down by a dangerously insane system. I haven't watched the film in decades--dystopian movies and books (think 1984) usually turn out bad for the poor schmuck who dares to dream, but loved it and can relate even more now that I'm living in a rundown shack at the beach. People tell me that I should be scared--lots of violence if you're poor. But I live in the moment and made it through Vietnam and quite a few near drownings, so I don't have a past and the future takes care of itself. Brazil, La, La, La, La, La, La.

At the time this film was banned in Brazil, it was still suffering military dictatorship in Brazil, the regime was closed at the time, you couldn't talk about politics, criticizing the government in the 60s, 70s and 80s

J avais pas reconnu KB. Sublime cette mélodie. Film vieilli bien. Un classique des 80's.

If George Orwell was alive at 1985 who knows how would he feel if he saw a personal screening of Brazil

Maravilhoso! É uma perda muito grande a morte prematura de Michael Kamen... Ele utilizou esse clássico da música brasileira de forma brilhante!

Batman 89 owes a lot of its look to this movie.

PS: Isn’t it crazy to think the pure range and scope of 80s film making!? All the way from Brazil to Chariots of Fire to Moonstruck to ET to Indiana Jones to Ghostbusters to Police Academy 😅 You name it we had it covered in the 80s! Most diverse decade ever
