If you add in lens prices, especially the EOS RP gets very expensive!
I mean you can still adapt ef glass but i enjoyed the RP more or less only with RF glass (to make use of the light and small design of the RP which is with any EF glass diminished

The Z5 smokes all of these cameras for stills and can be had for under $1000 so I’m not sure you felt the need to exclude it.

Great picks. I’ve shot with the rp and owned a few 6400s. I have Sony full frame cameras as well but that 6400 is the best af I’ve ever used.

Fuji xt3 used is probably the best all around camera under $1000. Also get a used GH5 over g95

For just over $1000 Nikon seems to have the best offerings these days. The new Panasonic at 2k is a beast though.

Just to point out that the g95 is only 650 rn brand new which is an absolute steal for a micro 4 thirds

If you are on budget probably the best option is Canon 5D or something other with EF lenses. Those are abundantly on the second hand market at very good prices

For 1k I would pick sony a7 3 because in my country it is used for just 1k or a7 2

and then there's Nikon.

Yup. Nikon Z50. Better sensor than both the G95 and A6400. Not as great for video though, right in the middle between G95 and EOS RP. Overall though, super good value if you get it with the FTZ adapter


Also you kinda forgot Fujifilm, X-T30 smokes literally every camera you mentionned (and for $999 you can get the X-S10 which adds IBIS on top of what the X-T30 already is)

yes, but you also need a good lens, several batteries, filters, and optionally a microphone, a cage. All this is easily solved if you buy a new camera, but already have some things and you do not need to buy them, but if you buy the first camera, then you need to be prepared for the costs.
