I've used heat shrink tubing for years but have only recently bought adhesive lined tubing. In this video I explain the benefits as I see them.

With how cheap adhesive lined shrink is, i see no downside to using it

Any 2 Kw oven element soldered to a SAFE flex + plug top ... then, the joints covered with ( several ? ) layers of ADHESIVE LINED heat shrink will make a 1st class emergency bath water heater ( boiler broken down ? ... yes they do ! ) ... this will give you a nice HOT bath, before the GEEZER comes to fix your boiler .. ( tried- n - tested ) .... DAVE™🛑
