Love the Cummins L9 paired with the Allison 3000MH in my 2015 Tiffin motorhome. The RV weighs 37, 000 lbs and is aerodynamically challenged but the computer indicates that my average MPGs are 11.6!...how is this possible? Keep up the great work Cummins!

btw, I run the Rotella T6 full synthetic 5W-40 and also upgraded the trans fluid to the Valvoline Syn Gard 668 ATF (full synthetic heavy duty) which is approved for all TES 668™ applications and is backwards compatible for TES 295 applications (which my trans calls for), including Allison 1000-4000 series transmissions. I also constantly monitor tire pressures with an accessory TPMS system.

Edit 6/7/2023 I now run the Cummins endorsed Valvoline Premium Blue. Last 7K mile journey the computer now reads average MPGs = 11.8! Of course, I follow the recommended guidelines on engine braking and downshifting manually the Allison on grades, all the while keeping the L9 in the proper RPMs.

Are these engines being installed into Freightliner M2 112 chassis now? Or when will the switch over take place?
