Every school I've ever attended taught me at perhaps 3 percent of my learning capacity. Classic schooling is a sort of deathtrap for most kids. Schools don't educate: they regiment. Compulsory schooling arose to prepare children for factory work, and that is still the model today even though most factory work is gone. We don't need AI augmenting and assisting traditional classrooms, we need school displaced entirely by highly and individually optimised teaching and tutoring systems that can have children educated to college level by around age 13. What is needed are systems that can spend time speaking with and learning to understand how a particular child learns best and then teach and tutor a child in that exact style, using metaphors that particular child grasps readily. As far as socialisation, that should happen in environments outside of school such as community play and sporting events and shared cultural activities. Enough of this failed traditional thinking that is producing hordes of barely educated and unhappy young people.

Kids should learn basic skills in school, including hiking, bushcrsft/survival in nature, etc. Not just for "just in case the techno Apocalypse" but to keep our basic human systems running. Also many thinks it is relaxing and/or interesting/stimulating.

I love your videos, but I struggle a lot with when you speed up video clips. The sound gets muffled and distorted and it is just so difficult to understand the content. I would much rather that the video was 10 min longer and the reference video was kept at 1x. I am fluent in english, but it is not my native tung, so that will of cause play a part, but I can imagine quite a big part of your audience are internationals and may have the same struggles as I. Just something to think about!

It's a bit annoying that you incorporate sped-up youtube video snippets in your own videos, as people who want to listen to your video in sped up mode then has to lower and increase speed several times. You have to assume that your own video will likewise be played back in sped up mode. Especially when it's featuring speed talker Andrej Karpathy it becomes insane

Excellent talk! but I disagree with the efficiency and capacity comparison of human brains and AI systems, the human "inference" is much superior not in speed but in nuance relevance and abstract meaning as in logic and semantics, this is determined by the thought analysis patterns making the most of very little information. If AI systems would be trained or instructed to more relevantly assess both trained and untrained data in a more meaningful way mimicking human thought patterns ("in a way") it woud save a lot of computational and other resources since currently verbosity and data size creates noise affecting reasoning and causing hallucinations among other issues impacting outputs quality.
