the red light is really bad for the gecko. the light messes with their day/night cycle. if you want to know more about why the red light is bad you can google it. I'm not trying to be rude I just want every gecko to live their best life.

no leapord gecko knows that their is a day or night light and they just see a light at night and that affects there vision and sand causes impaction.
