Chlorhexidine is a great cleaner vets us. You can also add a piece of copper to the water dishes to avoid the slimy film.

Yes, always clean EVERYTHING with soap and water

I use kitchen roll an don't use bowls for drink as found mine don't drink from them so just spray with water in viv an they drink the droplets.

Copper penny with date prior to 1980 have very high amount of copper... I place one in my Leopard Geckos water bowl and it reduces bacteria etc

The sprayer you use, does it not contain lead? We got one but decided not to use it cause it contained lead and dehp that is said to cause birth defects

So a thing that we use commonly in the micro lab is 10% bleach. It's recommended that a 10% solution is the best way to clean for microbes. You might want to dilute that especially if you don't want to harm the lizards
