What a lot of people don't realize about really fat people (I was 262 lbs at my heaviest), they have more muscle than you need as a lean person. I'm 130 lbs now and quite muscular, especially for a woman, but if I had actually maintained *all* my original muscle mass I'd be so muscular now it wouldn't be efficient or reasonable. Burning off the excess muscle is part of the process. Everyone is terrified to say this, it seems like. It's always about retaining lean mass... okay you lose 130 lbs of pure fat and tell me what you look like and how your body works. Maybe some male bodybuilders would want that but I do a strength sport and even I don't. Obese people only have all that sacred muscle mass in the first place because they're carrying around huge amounts of excess weight constantly.

He's right ! I'm overweight. Lost 15 lbs from Jan to feb doctor wants me to drop 30 by May and then anither blood test. I decreased my carbs to 20 g and fat to 30 the rest is protein. I've lost an additional 5 lbs in 11 days. My dr said eating 800 cals he said you will be fine it's most important to reach healthy weight. My goal is between 50 and 60 lb loss.

I was 344 in February and I’ve been doing my hardest to try and eat 1200 calories. I mess up on weekends tho eating 2k-3k. Today I went to the doctor for a check up. I’m down to 326…. I’m trying!

Yeah buts that's not %100 true. It doesn't just take from fat storage it can start starving organs and take nutrients from other parts of the body, such as the eyes.

Obviously a small deficit won't affect you much but 1200 calories definitely will.
