While this episode feels a little bit rushed (probably due to all the stuff that's been going on with Order of Man for the past couple of weeks), the "integrity-gap" really resonated with me and is something I've experienced for much of my adult live, having been a "nice guy". It's really great to finally have a name and explanation for something I've been feeling for years. I have yet to hear an episode from Ryan that does not offer me something great to take away!
Thanks for consistently doing these Friday Field Notes even though it's probably a grind at times when you're super busy! The effort and work is much appreciated!

Thank you for pointing out problems that all men have with every day.

I used to ask old men in saunas what the secret to life is. One old timer, without hesitation, said, "Be content but not satisfied." That really hit me.

I'm learning that excellence and perfection is always just outside the grasp, at first this is a deterrent until I look in the damn mirror and realize the man I'm becoming as I continue chasing and never settling

Good podcast as usual. I wanna help you out on the parable of the talents though brother Ryan. They were all put in charge of what they could handle according to their abilities. The 1st servant was given 5 and he doubled it and the 2nd servant was given 2 and he also doubled it. They both received praise and rewarded. The last one (given only 1 talent)hid his talent in the ground and gave back what he was given but nothing more. He was thee only one who was punished. Just wanted to clear up the technicality. God bless you and yours and your mission here at Order Of Man.

Please make Correction - the one with 5 talents and the one with 2 talents did not lose anything. Only the 1 talent servant lost what he had. Please see Matthew 25:14-30. The One talent servant had issues with his master. He did not want to do anything because he had some type of issue with his master since he made the comment that I know you to be a hard man reaping where you have not sown.

I always know I’m going to learn something before I watch. Thank you for sharing this with us, Ryan! Blessings! That parable is a powerful lesson. Are we willing to risk it all to grow so that others may grow as well? I must ask myself am I willing to leave my comfort zone so I may grow, because it is outside the comfort zone is where all the growth happens…
