Thank you for the tips Wendy!! I start my new grad RN residency program in less than 2 weeks at a med surg unit! And I am ANXIOUS! I’ve been YouTubing skills again because I haven’t been in a nursing clinical setting since January 😅😅

I just accepted a position in Med/Oncology as a new grad LPN... I start in January. Scary, but hopefully it will help me be the best nurse I can be. Also, if I end up wanting to do a bridge to RN, I will have that experience ...

Great tips Wendy!!! Love that they are practical and helpful so anyone can apply them in their practice!! I worked Med Surg too and found the hospital just was not for me. I found asking ALL the questions!!! Helped lol even if I felt silly to ask, I asked!! Love this video! Keep up the great topics. God bless and I pray things are going well with school!! ~Amanda

Excellent video, thank you. I am an aspiring nurse trying to learn what it would be like to work as a nurse in the different specialties. This video helps a lot!

New grad LPN on Medsurg/Tele
Thankfully our ratio is 4:1 and we don’t do team nursing. I’m in Maryland. We have our own patients and the RNs have theirs no one delegates to us but maybe the charge nurse. I’m bridging to RN and the only things that will change is I will be able to run be charge, push IV meds, and do the admission assessment. Lpns at my job can do the initial assessment but an RN signs off within 24hrs. I guess it depends on the state.
