My barbarian already does this
Except he just throws people and genuinely believes he can control gravity

Player: Can I do this obscure thing?
Cinder: Barbarian!

Love it :D

Reverse gravity is my favorite way to make a cool DnD flying vehicle

Feels like a lot of people underestimate just how powerful of a tool reflavouring existing spells and abilities really is.

Ancestrial Gaurdian Barbarian my absolute favorite subclass. It adds so much flavor and changes the impact of a barbarian mechanically but doesn't change the core gameplay loop.

Ingenious with the barbarian. My first 5e character was an AG Barb, so I have a soft spot for the class anyway.

There is also a very good option for this in Pathfinder 1st edition as well for anyone who plays. This is through the Kineticisit class and using the gravity related abilities. Granted though that the class is very complex and requires lots of max hp reduction to keep track of

A bard that plays dramatic music on a cello would add a lot of gravity to the situation.

Really interesting and fun idea! I probably would’ve never thought of that

This video reminded me of a home brew thing I made, it basically just a liquid that looks like it’s the night sky and float and flows through the air defying gravity and anything the liquid touches has the direction gravity is pulling on it changes to a completely random direction. My players had a super fun time dealing with that.

You certainly understood the 'gravity of their question

I feel many people forget you can mostly work within the bounds of the game if you just work with the theatre of the mind. As much as i love new and additive content, the format is quite versatile as it is.

Honestly pretty much any spellcasting class can be gravity themed if you just pick spells that move stuff around (thunderwave, catapult, thorn whip, gust etc) and just re-flavor them to be gravity themed. You could even re-flavor mage hand as a tiny little gravity well just strong enough to pick up 5 pounds

I wish there was a way to do this but with magnetism. Homebrew is what I'm currently throwing at a metaphorical wall.

Can't spell metaphorical without metal, but thats not helping it stick.

Electromagnetic resistance-based powers, to be specific. Makes it that much more difficult, but we don't homebrew because it is easy. We do it because it is hard.

I'm trying to work out the details of a character that is sorta like Heisenburg from RE: village. Biological alteration, lack of social skills, immaculate fashion sense, the works.

I'm probably gonna shove a bunch of stuff together and submit it for homebrew review. Or a stream where we're making homebrew.

I love the common idea of a Swarmkeeper ranger with a meteor/satellite swarm of small rocks and pebbles circling them. Magic stone can let you launch the rocks at your foes, the Swarmkeeper features let you push yourself or an enemy, etc. I've thought of adding a gravity flavour to lots of ranger spells to really hammer home the concept.

Magic stones and catapult are two spells I love to flavor towards gravity stuff for early levels.

And of course take the Telekinetic feat

I've mentioned Steinhardt's Guide on several other videos for other topics at this point but it has gravity magic as well. The free pdf sampler for Blackstorm Realms has a Gravity Domain cleric that's pretty neat. There are so many ways to theme a character with gravity effects. I hope OP finds one that really grabs them.
