Sadly, Simon from WAF, who for the last 30 years has run a wildlife refuge/rescue in Great Britain, he passed away earlier this summer. He was tremendous in his love and compassion for the local wildlife. In true DoDo form, he was an ambassador for creatures in need. He will be missed immensely. 😢

As many probably know, this good man died of cancer a couple of months before Dodo posted this. I only know him from his wildlife rescue's videos, but he seems to have spent most of his working life alleviating the suffering of animals, most of it caused by human carelessness and encroachment (animals getting tangled in human waste, football nets people were too lazy to roll up, etc.). This can't have been financially profitable and we saw how emotionally stressful it was. In his last couple of years, as he was visibly getting more emaciated and weaker, he continued filming appeals for funding to help his cause. He is an example to us all.
