Ask for an email address in Google Forms

I highly recommend you always ask for an email address in Google Forms. Add a question and ask "What is your email?" You will then be given the option to automatically collect, I recommend you select that.

I find the automatic collection helpful, but I wish it wouldn't be mandatory as a default. Is there a way to make the automatic email collection voluntary?

Is there a way to ask for emails at the END of the survey?? Whenever I try to enable email collection it just inserts it awkwardly at the start, where it doesn't make sense or fit in with the rest of the survey content. Also a guaranteed way to give you an abysmal bounce rate as you're immediately mistrusted by your participants ... lol
