For the rigging aspect, did you convert to mesh or are they still metaballs?

This is amazing! It looks like you did a hard surface model with Boxcutter and HardOps, but you did it with metaballs.

How were you able to use MetaBalls in Blender 2.8 with the Boolean "Subtraction" and "Intersect" effects? Is there a tutorial for that? Which version of Blender is that?

Did you convert the metaballs into a mesh? No idea how you achieved a clean topology... Or did you use a remesh modifier after converting it?? Thanks for the video, I was actually playing around with metaballs and stumbled upon a video explaining you can use metaballs for hardsurface modeling. Then I found yours... I might try using it but still have doubts on how to have it as a mesh.
