99% of the time the caddie speaks up about something, they're on point.

Nothing wrong with an argument about the right things. Every pro needs a caddie who will stand up to them .

I love that they have this bickering argument where he ignores the guy's advice then he says "...as long as you're okay with this club."

played in a pro am with these guys shortly after Na’s 16.
Love that they are still together.

No guys, Kevin Na was not right and damn lucky he had the free drop. But he sure made up for his mistake quickly - 61 whoa - lucky and good!

I was Kevin right? He got a free drop and then made a miracle chip- the Caddie was right

It's like having a good partner, financial advisor, attorney, etc..., you might think you know how to do something, but it's often incredibly important to have someone who is less blinded by personal emotion giving you advice.

Impossible to judge either of them by this. You don't know what kind of relationship they have or how much input Na wants from his caddie. Seve told his caddies to understand that he was always right on the course and to discuss differences after.

Kevin Na is one lucky guy born with such a talent and then to discover this talent as a teenager.

What do you want, a guy who sits there and agrees with you when you're making a risky call or one who speaks his mind? I guess it depends on how confident you are and how good your relationship with the caddie in question.

Kevin Na: "As long as you are ok with this club."

Caddie: "I'm not."

Kevin Na: "I'm going with it."

Caddie: 🤷‍♂️

I have caddied a few times in pro tournaments, I think the caddie player relationship is different for every team. Some pros just want numbers and clean clubs, some want 2nd opinions on putt lines, some want the caddie to pick the club the line and everything else but swing the club. I have been in that situation and it's my opinion when the pro decides on the club, the caddie even if he doesn't agree has to give the pro some confidence and say yes great club just make a great swing. At the end of the day, every caddie is out there to make the pros job easier and take crap from the pro when things don't go right, if you have thin skin, caddying is not the job for you.

I dont see an argument here. I see two men talking.

I believe Na gave that same caddy a pretty expensive car in a PGA tournament he won last year. If so, this is basically a family squabble, and they're good to have instead of the 'yes' men-caddy mentality.

I like that they debate it, and Na goes for it. As long as they don't get into a "I told you so" razz, it should work. It's the best way, as long as the player has a strong confident mind.

Never forget when Na Duck hooked a driver off the deck in a playoff after the other guy put his 2nd shot into the smag... Made bogey on a par 5 and lost.... I am sure his caddy had a similar convo with him about his club decision.

Is it the same caddie he gave a muscle car to?.

Kevin Na is one of the most up/down golfers ever. So inconsistent, in any round he can shoot a 60 or 80. No question of his talent, but when he collapses, he really falls apart mentally.
