I love how this scene reveals the weakness of each character in rapid succession. Evelyn's weakness is for books. Johnathan's weakness is for gold and riches. Rick's weakness is his naive sense of moral duty. In each case, when one character was overcome by their particular weakness, the other two intervened. But when Benny is overcome by his weakness, he is alone.

I always liked that even though Beni betrayed Rick and his friends to save his own life, , Rick still tried to save him.

The irony is that he already got a good chunk of treasures out, but still decided to come back and get more

Those bugs were probably one of if not the most terrifying enemies in the mummy movies, they were remorseless, unyielding and a damn near unstoppable force in a swarm of them .

Anyone who wasn't Imhotep or had a flamethrower had to get out of their way or run when they came crawling along

I find funny that the book version of this Benny was thinking when the doors shut "Benny always finds a way out of everything", only to be screaming in the dark once the scarabs find him

Beni: "...us?"

scarab: "LOOKS LIKE MEATS BACK ON THE MENU BOYS"

Goodbye, Beni. The way O'Connell said it, he actually felt sorry for Beni, even though Beni didn't deserve his sympathies. It taught Beni his lesson however. It pays not to be greedy.

Poor Beni. He already had everything set, was outside the temple and could've just left right there. But nope... he got greedy.

I love how the scarabs waited until the the torch went out before going to town on Beni. Like they were saying to the audience "yeeeah, you don't wanna see what we do to this guy. Trust us, it's gruesome."

I still wonder why Beni went back into the tomb. Had he'd stayed outside, he would've been OK and survived. He let greed get the better of him.

Congratulations to Brendan Fraser on his 2023 Academy Award! True, it was for "The Whale" and not "The Mummy" but he deserved the award. Cool come back story too! He's been out of the limelight for such a long time, great to see him win.
