None of this will get any better until we can stop conservatives from putting a goddamn price tag on everything

Because I know people will ask: the wolf mom and pup stuffed animal comes from a company called demdaco

It's good to get a second chance to save a species from extinction but it sucks that greedy people almost destroyed them.

Imagine Conservatives being good at... you know... Conservation... LMAO... Imagine
Glad this is happening for the wolves.

Just like the wolves we eradicated beavers once. We need these keystone species to ensure we have healthy wild environments.

I am always on the wolves' side. Always.

Why do conservatives seem to hate life so much? One for life/nature and honorable intent!

For me this really is one of the best arguments for voting for democrats.

It's that dems usually pass less openly violent domestic legislation & that they're consistently better environmentally.

Just remember Conservatives are conserving THEIR PROFITS, THEIR POWER, THEIR HOLD ON WHO GETS WHAT IN THE WORLD.
Forget environment, resources, sustainability, other species. Those are part of the deal.

You all remember the movie "dances with wolves"? Well the species of wolf in that movie (2 socks) was a Buffalo Wolf, ... it's extinct now

what do we think the chance is that if its succesful again, "conservatives" will choose conserving profit over conserving nature again?

I've had the privilege of seeing red wolves at Point Defiance zoo in Tacoma, WA. Where they've had a captive breeding program for quite a while. Thank you Beau for bringing more awareness about the red wolves plight.

"Population estimate as of June 2023: Known/collared (wild): 16. Total estimate (wild): 32-34. Red Wolf SAFE (captive): 278."
Wow.

That is great. If they stay the course, it can be done. For a ridiculously red state, we've been successful in Wyoming bringing back species on the brink. Pronghorn, Black footed ferrets, grizzly bear, mountain lion, timber wolves. Still working on sage grouse. If we can do it with our state government, anybody can. Go NC.

As a North Carolinian who lives within a couple of hours from the Asheboro Zoo, the story of our Red Wolves and their road to recovery is one of my favorite things to hear about.

Wolves are extraordinary creatures. This is good news. Plus, they gave us dogs, and that's the best thing EVER.

I just seen one of these dead side of the road in western NC. I was thinking that was a rare moment I was on side of the highway.

Just like the Civil Rights Act... "it is so successful, we can stop doing it" WTF. UGH!
