Intel F**ked Up Bad

Intel situation bad.

From engineering problems to rat behavior. Intel really hasn't been doing so hot (although their CPUs are very hot). Basically we thought that the reason Intel CPUs were failing was because they were being pushed way too hard, but with information brought to light by Level1Techs we see that the situation goes a whole lot deeper. This genuinely might be something unfixable in these CPUs which would be a disaster. Let me know if you personally have had issues and I hope you aren't gonna be affected by all this🤞

0:00- What we thought was going on with Intel 13th & 14th Gen
1:22- Intel "fixed" the issue, but at what cost?
3:12- Intel shifting blame
4:30- This is destroying businesses (forcing them to go AMD)
11:00- What we know
15:35- Their next-gen CPUs don't seem super exciting
17:00- Intel "14th Gen" was a weird joke
18:01- Reasons to get Intel are dwindling

Ey, just to let yall know. Intel has now come out with a statement on the situation admitting to manufacturing defects and voltage issues. Their response is still pretty whack so man idk. Honestly seems like it’s only getting worse but at least we have some answers

If you like the colour blue then you will be happy with all the blue screens...

Intel: "My CPUs are destroying businesses."

Crowdstrike: "Hold my beer..."

People say AMD ruins their marketing. But here comes Intel given AMD some great publicity.

Just saw a 9 month old reddit post on /intel about 7800x3d vs 14900k for gaming and actually felt sad. So many people arguying they wont trust Amd, how that backfired....

Class action lawsuit needs to get rolling if intel doesnt compensate customers appropriately.

How did it take 2 gens for people to start talking about this

I’ve had intel in my computers all my life. This year I decided to upgrade my PC and decided to go with AM5. Dodged that bullet

I remember a time when people bought Intel because they ran cooler and were more reliable. Ah, how the times have changed.

It's weird because I have an Intel i5-14600KF running for a month now under heavy gaming, it stays between 60°C and 70°C. Also, not a single blue screen. Just working perfectly fine.

14900K which is a 6Ghz CPU was designed and released on a node for which even 5.5 Ghz (12900K) was an overclock. Many Intel fanboys dismissed the power and efficiency concerns during raptor lake launch. It was a disaster waiting to happen.

what an irony everyone avoided amd cuz of crashes, and now intel have the 100% crash rate 💀

This entire situation is just so ironic... People, and especialyl businesses were hesitant to move on from Intel to AMD because Intel was way more reliable, and stable... Oh how the tables have turned... And really, this is sooo weird, I know how intel validates their chips and it's really comprehensive, how they managed to fuck up two generations and not find it in the validation process is beyond me...

In any case they are handling this very poorly and they deserve any steam going their way. And I say this while holding Intel stock.

Now I know why AMD doesn't spend a dime on marketing. Cus Intel does it for free for them from time to time!

I dont see many intel owners in the comments, maybe they can't even watch the video fully before their pc crashes

Intel fr said, "Nah I'd fail".

makes sense why all gaming competitions were experiencing constant crashes in the last 2 years

Its not the power its the insane high voltage that they are using for single core boost. its running up to 1.525v on single thread workloads, limiting the power wont help since it can roast 2 cores at max voltage with less than 125w.
The best guess so far is that the degridation is effecing the ringbus and not the cores themselfes, thats why the errors are so random and diverse since its the link between the cores and not the cores that are failing.
The last intel chip to use over 1.5v was a 130nm pentium 4 its insane to use 1.5v on 10nm.

They basically ran out of ideas to keep up with AMD so the final hail Mary was to sell massively overclocked processors with all the contingent problems that will produce. Selling processors that have glitch errors like this running within advertised spec is totally unacceptable.

So glad I got the 7800X3D over the 139000K on my new rig last year. I went back and forth a lot because I always used Intel.
