It's like hearing an old friend you haven't seen in years. It's good to see you again.

One voice one guitar, it's all we need.

Ah, you shouldn't make grown men cry, Yusuf. But I forgive you. It's a good cry, from years of memories going back to when I first heard this. It is for everyone who goes where their heart wants to go. Wrong turns are part of it. It's how we learn. Your faith helped us to have faith.

Dear Yusuf,

When I was a teenager in the 70’s, I wanted to
be Mrs Cat Stevens when I grew up. But now as an old lady with health issues, I would just like this song played at my funeral. Thank you for being a part of my life.

I bought Tea for the Tillerman when I entered high school in 1986. Helped keep me on a good path. Thank you kind man. Praise God who is merciful and worthy of all honor.

I swam upon the devil's how many of us cry at this phrase? But the warm love and understanding in his voice let us let go and grow and become I thank God for the beautiful hearts that can build music

Yusef, I fell in love with you and your outstanding music almost 50 years ago ( I’m still doing it, after all these years ) . I missed you sorely when you left the music scene ; I followed your story and lamented that you might never return to it . Joyfully I saw you returned to it, somewhat subdued, but none the less, brilliant as always . I will always be a great fan of yours, principally because of your lovely and loving soul . I will always delight in your existence and music and wish you many, many more years of your doing what you do . Peace be with you, always . 🙏🏽 George Lewis Sr.( 81 this month )

I went to a concert with my brother when we were kids. I remember being surprised at how low his speaking voice was. Someone in the audience had said, "I love you" and he replied, "Thankyou".
My favorite singer in the 70s. It is wonderful how Yusuf's voice sounds almost the same as it did back then.

Isn't it wonderful that art is timeless? I'm so blessed to live in a world of art and music. I'm not a wealthy man, but I feel very rich.

So beautiful, made me cry. Can’t believe it’s been about 50 years since I listened to that song a million times. The best music is ageless. Peace be with you, Yusuf. ❤

In this day and age of auto tune, recording studios, and sound rooms, it is just unbelievable how someone can sound so good with just a guitar and a microphone . . . Love it !! !! !!

Voice of my youth. I saw you in Philadelphia years ago, wearing a fringed suede jacket when you were “Cat Stevens.” Your voice sounds the same and I am so happy to hear you!

Ohh my God.... I'm 52 yrs old and you Mr. have been a great part of my life since I found a 1974 copy of a "Tea for the tillerman" at an aunts house. Thank you for all these years, and the memories that came with them.

Beautiful to listen to as the sun rises. Father & Son was the first song that I learned on guitar when I began playing in the early 70’s. I am 69, and recently played it at our church open mic night. Some listening had tears in their eyes…including the guy playing and singing. Your song can reach deep into a persons soul if allowed! Many thanks for making music that has always been a part of my life!

I saw Cat Steven’s live concert in Dallas, Texas about 50 years ago. His presentation has not changed at all. Still the same, I’m happy to report.

Just as it was played at my wedding and then played when I held my newborn...I've asked my family to play this at my funeral should I go before them. Song has meant so much to me. Thank you Yusuf.🙏🏻✨
