I lived in Albuquerque for 10 years. It’s a beautiful state but the crime is freakin unbelievable. There are no safe neighborhoods in Albuquerque.

In New Mexico, if your vehicle is unlocked and it gets stolen, your insurance won't cover it.

Well, you pretty much nailed California. Of course, you are familiar with the state, as am I. As a native Californian I got the hell out of there last year (moved to Oregon...no, NOT Portland) and have never spent one fraction of one second. missing it. It's gone to hell since my childhood days in the 1970s.
