Hello, I have an issue with a 316i from 2002. After the engine gets to 90° celsius and if you pull off and stay with the engine started in neutral/no gear it will increase and decrease the rpm up to 1700 and 800 by itself until it will have no more voltage/power at all and die. While is doing like this, behind the car stereo or under the dashboard(that location) you can hear like a click or a short circuit sound...don't understand where is the issue, a few electricians checked but didn't find the cause let's say. Also, I used a lighter voltage meter and when the issue start happening(ONLY after it has 90° celsius) it won't display 13.8 volts anymore, it won't display anything. What I also did(in car repair shop), changed the alternator relay 2 times in 8 months as they said that a short circuit in the car caused that relay to die. Thank you very much!!

Appreciate the video, heads up though, they don’t call it an injector relay, it’s the (unloader relay 15) you calling the injector relay helped though, I knew what it’s purpose was and can now confirm on shop car!!
I’m chasing my butt on one right now.
Appears bad input to the unloader relay from DME is the problem.

Reset key and check your ground wire where the engine is I just had this problem fixed some wired my car wrong trust me it’s not dme or ibs

tamprture sensor, if the heating rise up it give sign to the car computer engin so hot so engin will not start

Did you ever check power to the starter motor?. Maybe try probing it ?. Otherwise its dme that's cutting power to the starter and fuel pump

Man I would look into a new dme with the ews delete codes in plug in play are around 250 on ebay the cheaper units you see don’t have good reviews or only good reviews heads up

I can just show you how to deal with that problem on my car. I had the same problem but now is fixed

Im having this exacted problem how did you resolve your problem? I shipped my DME off for diagnostic hopefully It works

I’m having the same problem did a battery change on my 1999 323i sedan e46 car ran perfectly since I had it change the battery now my dme won’t read with a scanner and it will crank but won’t start PLEASE SOMEONE HELP DID ANY ONE FIND A FIX

Just watched a video about having two modules get out of sink likely form having the battery disconnect for a long time and they need to be recoded?

Hi Sir can you help me how to diagnose this problem quick story after DME main relay replacement and mess up EWS start value with INPA now I have the same exact issue with your car the difference only sometimes my car is crank but it won't start ABS, DSC light on temperature gauge going hot when key in on 2 positions and no communication to DME your help much appreciate thank you

I had before on e53 when I was starting temperature gage was going all the way up but in my case thermostat was issue not dme
