BMW E46 start problem, only sound clicks

Got the same thing! Did a diagnostic and got P0340 and P1622 code. checked the fuel pump, but it makes noise at start up so i think its ok. It may be the camshaft position sensor at intake side, thats what I am replacing next.

Hi guys, had a similiar problem with my 330xd.. Didn't know what to do at first so I started googling around and found out nothing similiar. Someone said its the alternator, someone said its the battery, starter, positive battery terminal etc.. I just unplugged the battery, got it to charge and left the car sitting over the night without battery. At the morning I plugged the battery in and whoala, car starts as normal. IDK what happened but this simple thing solve my problem. Hope it helps you all too! Peace.

Your problem is in the positive safety terminal of the battery. It is a safety system when the airbag is activated but maybe for some reason the cable is disconnected from your terminal.

I have the same problem now, my battery is brand new and the connection is fine! We’re gonna replace the starter and see what happens.

Mine just clicks, I replaced the starter from junkyard. Tested it works but still just clicks. I’m thinking it’s that module under the dash!

Bro its the alternator taking the hole energie from battery you have to change it only when you push your car like 5kmh or 2mph and then you try to oppen it opens but the next day you will have the same problem so just change the alternator

Nekem is ez volt, akksi csere megoldotta.
Had the same problem, I changed the battery.
