Incredible Time Lapse of the Highest Ocean Tides Six Hours in 52 Seconds

This time lapse was taken in the Kingsport, Nova Scotia. Part of the Bay of Fundy, home of the worlds highest tides.

Wait, highest or LOWEST tide? I would rather have seen this video from low tide to high.

Once when I was a kid (this is in Australia btw, not Canada) I was trapped in an area *very* similar to that with the tide coming in, we (family and I) had walked across an unfamiliar beach, that result in a dead end / cliff face to the east, and had to travel back west (imagine left to right in the video) as the tide rose and we were right against the face as it got higher, with each incoming wave threatening us over, then pull us out.. We lost our shoes and some other crap we'd been holding, but ultimately were "fine" - but super scary and really, a life long lesson!

I fell off a boat in the ocean when I was a kid so instead of drowning I decided to drink all the water but I was sick after two mouth fulls so I walked back up the beach and had a hot dog

It's a beautiful thing to think about how this occurs. Gravitational force between two celestial bodies pulling on one another. A mere 4, 000km closer to the moon is what makes this occur. It is enchanting.
