(ENG) Volvo V40 Cross Country D4 - Test Drive and Review

Volvo introduced the new V40 in 2012 to replace the C30 and V50. The compact premium model is targeted at younger and hip buyers. Just in case some of the Volvo customers may feel more adventurous, the Swedish manufacturer decided to introduce a rugged Cross Country variant.

I feel this review extremely biased. I have a V40 cc D2 and it´s magic. The handling of the car is like flying, smooth and effortless. The seats are the most confortable I have ever tried. I don't get tired driving anymore. Diesel consumption is very low. Funny thing the D4 has just little bit more consumption for a lot more power. The extra hight helps a lot off road and is definitely worth it. And of course you need some sensitivity for this, but the design with 17¨ wheels is stunning, people stop to take photos. You can also reach all the controls your arms don´t reach from the steering wheel. Dude I think after everybody telling you how wrong you are... you should consider reviewing this car again. You are sending misleading information to consumers. I saw this video before I bought it and thank god I was able to have a really good road test to overcome your negativity.

Brave review but he does seem to enjoy sticking the boot in. I happen to love this shape and think the T5 is a great car. The interior is also nice.

I have a v40 cc D2 DIESEL lux auto with loads of goodies £27.000 all in.
 inc full leather 17" wheels, fantastic car only downside is the boot is too small.
I have had audi's a3 a4 plus golfs in the past but this car is far better.

Confusing? My 50 year old mother knows her way around the infotainment in her XC60.

The ECO and performance only change the color and the information on the display.

To change the steering settings you have to go to car settings.

I dont know about the cc. But i have a normal v40 and in my country where cars are really expensive, she is well priced

I dont agree with your review, Carbuyer review was much better. What kind of ending was that "no".

By the way, the v40 uses the focus chassis, that makes her really good in handling.

I am thinking about buying one, that's why I came across this video. I don't understand when I go throughout the internet and can't barely see and hear bad comments on a so good piece of engineering. The most safe car in the world, if u read about. The last part "NO", are you serious? It makes it sound like it's the worst car in the world. I think you don't really understand about cars. For the price and all you get. I am definitely going to buy one...

I still remember the tiny joystick for satnav Volvo placed somewhere behind the steering wheel. You could see it only from the passenger seat, when you leaned forward. So from that perspective it is much better now. But I guess I'm more used to the iDrive logic.
