When you’ve changed the metronome to insert three and switch it on it still shows on the master and insert one? Something to do with the routing? Im new to this and struggling... any help appreciated haha

what should i do if my metronome clicks once then stops but if i do any sound like pressing Q(kick snare etc) it clicks again until i stop pressing Q also this happens when i adjust tempo mid playing metronome and the issue starts and i cant do anything about it until i relaunch fl

How can anyone NOT understand that??
Quick question. Is the preview channel only gonna output the metronome or does it include other things?

my metronome is off yet i am still hearing a repetitive metronome-esque beat that i can't turn off. i accidently turned something on during a session and can't get rid of it. no clue what it could be... any thoughts?

Awesome! Thank you. I have this set up. When sending a wav or mp3 of a song to someone, I need to include the click track/metronome. Although it is routed as you explained and I can control the volume in the mixer, the track does not output when creating a wav or mp3. I can obviously understand why that is desirable in most cases, but do you know of any way to actually include the track in the output? Regardless, thank you, again, for the tip.

It's as simple as that but it still records it. I need the metronome on while recording, but I don't want it in the recording. Even when I route it to channel 10 or something it's either on or off, if its on it is on the recording if its off I can't hear it at all

The fact that this also lowers the sound of previewing sounds in my browser is actually so frustrating. I've been looking everywhere and it seems like this is the only way to lower the metronome. It actually makes no sense that in order to lower the metronome I have to sacrifice the volume of my samples, something as simple as this actually messes up workflow. It's very disappointing that theres no way to just lower the metronome or raise the sound of my sample previews. I can't even believe that I'm at this crossroad right now, I've been loving FL but something like this is infuriating. Would love a fix for this issue.

Mine still records the metronome with all those steps you just showed

But I did that. It still records my metronome even when I've rerouted it(metronome) to a different insert. I've even reinstalled the program multiple times! It's doesn't work!

its beyond a joke now. sorry ppl but its been like 3 hours, 5 different guides, 3 different softwares to learn, and i haven't even recorded a single clip.

I have rerouted the metronome to a different channel - CH10
I have even changed its colour and name
The record button is not lit up on my new metronome channel - CH10
I am not recording on the master channel
I have my guitar coming in on its own channel too - CH2
The ONLY channel with a record light on is my guitar, CH2.
The metronome is on and lit up. It is set to the value I want: 90.00

I have the guitar on the effect I want for the intro (3 hours in and I am still on the intro)
I hit record
I get one of these outcomes:
Metronome isn't on at all
Metronome is on but its in my recorded intro too.
I turn the volume down on just the metronome.
No sound at all

For a start, what nutter thought that people actually want a metronome in the end song? how many songs do you know with a metronome ticking away on an instrumental or intro? But to record a timing perfect song, in order for other people to put their bits in, I have to be at a constant timing throughout otherwise its chaos. Im recording a whole section of guitar pieces to send to a drummer to overlay a beat. For him to play the drums over my guitar in his headphones he needs a constant timing to work with

The way this is going, even if I get it to play while recording, when I try to record after or over it I am going to have problems. For making music it should be standard procedure to have an easy to use metronome built in, at a constant throughout your work, and not in the end recording.

There must be an easier way

Don't work here. Metronome still in the fucking playlist. I gonna give up this program and back to Ableton Live.

Lol ... so you just said what people didn't understand more slowly? What's missing is the context, not the instruction. Issue is, even if someone does this they are still going to have the same problem. I see why there was so much confusion. lol
