Got to step 7 and i am not able to open gedit, please can you help?

sir, i am facing following problem

Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused
(gedit:86): Gtk-WARNING **: 22:45:10.584: cannot open display: 0:0


mine is window 11.. is there anything more i have to do to open the editor
