How to install and get started with WSL 2 on Windows 11

Windows subsystem for Linux allows us to run a Linux machine on top of our Windows box. The default distro for WSL is Ubuntu, but many other distros are available at the Windows store.

Thanks for the Video! for further clarification, the "sudo apt update" will only show you the list of available upgrades. I believe you would have to run "sudo apt upgrade" after that to actually run the upgrades. At least that's what worked for me. just in case anyone else ran into the same issue.

WSL on Windows is the best thing that ever happened to Windows! Especially useful for developers when using Docker and such. This is an incredibly useful feature.

Thank you! I dual booted with fedora but it was too slow idk what went wrong I was getting 1min+ boot time. Using wsl i got 3sec lol
