The random acts of kindness that really mean something to me are the ones where the person doesn't know they're being filmed and expects nothing in return. Exploiting peoples disadvantages for more clicks, adoration and likes on social media is far less virtuous and in some cases downright slimy.

Fa bene al cuore e all'anima vedere che c'è ancora umanità ed empatia. Questo è il mondo in cui voglio vivere e far vivere agli altri.

videos like this always remind me that no matter how hard life gets, it's the small things that make it worth it.

Omg dude. That guy who's kayak went down at about two and a half miles? I used to love sailing a 7 ft dinghy miles offshore even on rough shores to the point where the Coast guard FWC the police and even locals on an island called me crazy but I was born on that island so it was nothing to me to go out miles offshore and it was a great end of day thing like most people think of going out for a beer ona friday night. Im talkinggoing out to a point where I couldn't even see land even on rough seas. Even on days where one mistake could make the difference between life and death.
One day I received my comeuppance from the sea and mother nature. Out sailing on rough seas like any other day except on this particular day I got fed up with trying to fight so hard to stay away from shore that I spent a more time fighting the wind and waves to avoid running aground then making progress. So, frustrated, I started the motor and forgot to let loose the sail. Soon I came around the edge of an island and the wind hit the sale and flip the dinghy. Suddenly I was in the water and try as I might I couldn't right the dinghy because it didn't have weight in a keel. Time and time again i put it right side up and it just continued to roll back ove upside down. Eventually I did get the it up right. But it was too late water was it within inches of the gunwhal (? using speak to text) with every wave sending water into my dinghy. The dinghy was swamped and there was nothing i could do. So I ended up abandoning it and swimming 4 hours against with the wind and Waves splashing in my face resisting my efforts. By the time I got the shore I was so wore out I didn't have the strength to pull myself up a ladder. I sat there for a good half an hour in the water catching my breath so to speak before I could get up on the dock and even then it took everything I had (literally it was like I had an extra 200 pounds holding me down). Despite this situation I had no doubt I would make it to shore as I had a life jacket that would continue to keep me afloat. And I know from experience with the ocean all I had to do was stay calm not rush and just keep trying to make steady progress towards shore. The entire time my only thought was no sharks no sharks no sharks. That experience is burned into my memory.

David Draiman is one of the most loving, heartfelt, kind person I've ever had the pleasure of watching do his job. My son loved Disturbed. We went to a concert in Idaho (10 hour drive) for my son. We found out we were staying in the same hotel and my son, at 14, said he didn't want to wait to get an autograph because David had to be tired after performing and deserved a quite rest. Sadly, my son didn't hear his message and took his own life at 16. Had he just taken the chance to talk with him, things may have been different. BTW, his "Sound of Silence" is the best cover, probably ever. Better than the original in my humble opinion.

Stop filming yourself giving to the needy/homeless. Talk about dignity? That's the worst way to show human beings dignity is to still somehow make it about you. The guy who dropped stuff off at the police station and ran away is how you should do it. Only footage evidence is cctv or someone else filming. Not you setting up your camera and then "giving anonymously" guess what? When it's filmed and posted online, it's no longer anonymous. Do it for the real life good karma and not the reddit good karma
