Here we will understand Character Oriented Protocol.
The framing is of two types
1. Fixed-size framing
2. Variable size framing

In Fixed-size framing, it is easy to find the start and end of the frame.
Because the number of bits in all the frames is the same.
The problem is with the Variable size framing.
Here we can't identify the start and end of the framing.
There two different ways in which the variable size framing is done.
1. Character Oriented protocol
2. Bit-Oriented protocol

so for payload each character takes 2 bytes??? please reply

Sorry.. in case of escape sequence being used as flag, how it is going to confirm EOF and SOF without thinking that it might be a stuff byte
