Shimano Altus Front Derailleur Adjustment And Cable Routing (Tips and Tricks)

Today, I'm showing you how to adjust your Shimano Altus front derailleur and how to route the cable. I'm not guaranteeing that everything in this video is fully accurate. This it what works for me. This is a follow-up video to some comments I've received on the previous video on this item. Hope this answers all your questions.

I just bought the same derailleur. I needed to know how to install it. Its hard to watch your videos with all that shaky camera work...then there is your self admitted lack of experience. Do you really think you shou be doing an instructional video? lol! 😎

Why don't you show actually adjusting ? like use the high and low limit screws and show what they do? Or how to actually use that tool? Like, unscrew the bolt and show how the cable goes thru the notch and such? then tighten it up. Showing is better than telling what you did. My 2 cents...

While the video is rough thank you nevertheless. You're the, at the moment of writing this, only person who shows how the bloody cable is threated that I've found so far. The shimano manual (Dealer & user) is less than helpful and everyone else seems to skim over the dang cable.

Is it amazingly simple once it's shown? Yes. Does it look like that anywhere on the manual? Maybe upside down and through a mirror.

Nevertheless, thank you for posting this. I'm just happy to be able to ride again.
